What is the process?
- Our professional measured surveyors arrive at the site with the latest 3D laser scanning equipment, according to your specification and project requirements. We use FARO and Leica 3D laser scanners to complete the scan, or drone technology for any limited access.
- The laser scanner sends a laser beam to the surrounding object or structure and captures data, collecting 1 million points per second with information about its position in space X, Y & Z. For colour point cloud, the integrated digital camera will take a series of photos with the colour information for more detailed point cloud data.
- Our in-house specialists complete the registration, where a single point cloud file is created as the ideal base when importing to advanced software to proceed with the creation of detailed deliverables.
- Our technicians create as-built 2D drawings by importing point cloud to AutoCAD, following as a reference and making a tangible document in your required format: DWG or PDF.
- Finally, you receive an accurate as-built plan ready to distribute to your project team and follow with accurate and detailed measurements.
